About the tour
The town of Dunbar is situated on the North Sea coast of East Lothian, about 30 miles east of Edinburgh. It’s known for its high sunshine record (fingers crossed!), coastline, attractive countryside and it’s ruined castle which once sheltered Mary Queen of Scots when she fled Edinburgh after the murder of Rizzio. The high street offers some unique local businesses and award winning food and drink establishments. We will then head to the vibrant seaside town of North Berwick, which became a very popular holiday resort in the 19th century, and held one of the first Scottish witchcraft trials in 1590. It has a mix of shops, cafes and bars (obviously fish & chip shops and ice cream parlours too), world-renowned golf courses and hosts the 5-star Scottish Seabird Centre.
